The Indian men's senior football team and their head coach were denied entry to a press conference at Jawaharlal Nehru Stadium in Kochi due to a payment dispute between the Kerala Football Association and the stadium owners.
The professional football club has been formed by a group of businessmen and will play the Districts league championship next year.
C N Mohanan, Chairman of Greater Cochin Development Authority, which owns the stadium, said this after office bearers of Kerala Cricket Association and Kerala Footbal Association met him to discuss possibilities of hosting the India-West Indies ODI in November at the stadium.
